Our Security Lab (supervisor: Professor Hyung Sik Kim) worked on a thesis called “Gesture Authentication for Smartphones: Evaluation of Gesture Password Selection Policies”. The thesis got an approval to be presented in the 41st IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (IEEE S&P) at 2020.
The thesis suggests a framework to test the security and usability of the gesture authentication and policies and uses it to test the other authentication methods. UNIST and Samsung Electronics collaborated for this study as well.
IEEE S&P is a flagship conference in computer security and it will be held in San Francisco at 2020.
