- 2020 Spring Semester Dean’s List Awards Presented To celebrate and encourage students with superior grades, the Dean’s List Awards were presented. Those who completed 15 or more credits and got average GPA over 4.2 in the previous semester (2019-20) can be selected as members of the Dean’s List. Inevitably, the offline award ceremony was canceled to prevent any possible COVID-19 infections. However, certificates and gifts were sent out to all of the awardees.

- [Student] College of Computing Holds 2020 Spring Semester Research Paper Online Presentation
- College of Computing Holds 2020 Spring Semester Research Paper Online Presentation The College of Software held a research paper presentation online on Wednesday, June 3rd. A total of 51 members of the college presented the research they had been working on for a year. Other students and professors joined the online presentation to wrap up the year well by grading and awarding some of the great research that was done. The awards were divided into two categories: the Excellent Work Award (Gold: Jeong Joon Hyeong / Silver: Shim Geon Yeong / Bronze: Choi Hyeon Woo) and the Excellent Presentation Award (Shim Geon Yeong). The College of Computing offers its sincere gratitude to those who worked hard and completed excellent research papers and projects in the 2020 spring semester.

- 2019-2 College of Computing Thesis/Project Presentation On November 27(wed) 2019-2 College of Computing Thesis/Project Presentation was held at the Semiconductors Building F1 Lobby and Classroom 330110 A 96 student posted and published Thesis and Project they had studied for a year, and students and professors were present to evaluate and win an award the research and they’ve finished the year. The award was awarded to students for outstanding works(우수작품상) (Golden Award: Park Jin-Seo, Choi Won-young / Silver Award: Mun Gyeong-jin / Bronze Statue: Jung Chang-Ho), and Excellent Award(우수발표상) (Kim Seo-Jin). Thank you for the hard work of the students who finished their Thesis and Project well.

- [Student] 1st Software's Night
- 1st Software's Night was held successfully in October 2. Software's Night is an event to bring every student, professor and staff in College of Computing together. This event was held for the first time. The current student council "솦삭임", led by President Jun Tae Kim, prepared many event booths for everyone to have fun. For example, students made key rings and cotton candies. Professors and staff also enjoyed shooting game, baseball game, Pikachu game and speed typing competition. At the same time, a singing competition, Software Got Talent, was held. The talented students showed their wonderful performance and led everyone to come together. In total, 266 College of Computing students attended the night. The Dean as well as many other professors attended the event and showed their support. Even though it rained heavily due to typhoon MITAG, the event was held in success - thanks to everyone who helped out to make this night come true.

- [Student] 2019-Semester 2 Celebration of Dean's List
- The gathering of the Dean's List was held in September 30. Dean’s List is given to the students who took more than 15 credits in the last semester (2019-Semester 1) and achieved GPA of 4.0 out of 4.5 in average. The Dean of College of Computing awards the students in the gathering ceremony. 19 Computer Engineering students and 103 Software Engineering students were awarded this semester. Many professors attended the event and encouraged the students to strive for excellence in their academics. Afterwards, all the attendees ate pizza together for lunch and shared their opinions regarding their further study in graduate school.

- [Research] Security Lab was approved to publish a paper in IEEE S&P Conference
- Our Security Lab (supervisor: Professor Hyung Sik Kim) worked on a thesis called “Gesture Authentication for Smartphones: Evaluation of Gesture Password Selection Policies”. The thesis got an approval to be presented in the 41st IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (IEEE S&P) at 2020. The thesis suggests a framework to test the security and usability of the gesture authentication and policies and uses it to test the other authentication methods. UNIST and Samsung Electronics collaborated for this study as well. IEEE S&P is a flagship conference in computer security and it will be held in San Francisco at 2020.

- [Student] Academic Year of 2019 Fall College of Software Graduation Ceremony was held in Success
- The graduation ceremony was held in August 23. About 100 staff, family and friends of the graduating students attended and celebrated the moment. Unlike any other ceremonies, a congratulating video was prepared for each graduating student. Also, when the students received their awards, the guests also came up the stage and celebrated the moment together. Once again, thank you so much for everyone who attended the special event. Graduates of College of Software, we wish you all to shine and be proud as a graduate student of College of Software.

- [Student] Academic Year of 2019 Fall Professor Workshop
- The fall workshop for professors in College of Software was held in August 28. Firstly, there was an introduction of new professors. Secondly, there was a report of activities in progress as well as administration works. Thirdly, they discussed the curriculum for the fall semester, current status in graduate school, CO-OP and internships. The workshop began at 10 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m. discussing about development of the College of Computing.

- 2019 Brothership Workshop - Date: 08.11(Sun)~08.15(Thu) - Place: SKKU Natural Sciences Campus and Domestic - Attend University: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, Sungkyunkwan University 2019 Brothership Workshop was held for 4 nights and 5 days. It was a good time for the Students of the three university to spend time of Project and cultural exchange.
