[Department] Recruitment of participants in the World Friends ICT Volunteer Group in 2023

We are recruiting participants of the 2023 World Friends ICT Volunteer Group for students from Sungkyunkwan University's Software Convergence University with a spirit of human righteousness.

1. Business Purpose

- Need to support developing countries due to the expansion of the national economic status

- Cultivate global leaders by fostering a spirit of service and leadership

- Closing the global digital gap (information and information protection) through local ICT education centered on software majors

2. Country and period of dispatch

1) Country of dispatch: Suratpitaya School (middle and high school) in Suratthani, Thailand

2) Dispatch period: July 3rd (Mon) to July 29th (Sat) 2023

(The dispatch period may vary by 1 or 2 days from front to back.)

3. Activity details and number of people selected

* All classes are conducted in English

1) ICT Education: Education through Arduino

2) Korean Culture Education: Hangul, K-POP, Culture, etc

3) Number of people selected: around 10

4. Eligibility to apply

1) Software department/computer engineering student in the first semester of 2023 (vacation, completion, multiple transfer students are not allowed)

2) A Korean national who is 18 years of age or older and has no reason for disqualification for overseas travel

3) A person with a healthy mind and body suitable for performing overseas volunteer activities

4) Intermediate level or higher of ICT utilization ability (Aduino or other): Preferential treatment for Arduino possibilities

5) Proficient in English: A person who can conduct classes in English

6) Korean cultural education available: Preferential treatment for education available such as K-pop dance and singing education available

7) People who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 vaccine or more (required)

8) Certificate of Accredited Language Performance: Submission only by the person who wrote it in the application

5. Support details

1) Round trip ticket, accommodation fee, local travel, program progress, traveler's insurance, etc

2) Providing emergency overseas support services

3) Certificate of volunteer work (1365 volunteer portal performance registration) and award of excellent volunteer team at the end of the year
